Stone of beggars mountain
The stone of Ubagai hill is the largest stone in the Plateliai area, located in the village of Plateliai, in the Žemaitija National Park. Its height above the ground is 1.20 m, length is 5 m, width is 3.4 m, and its maximum horizontal circumference is 12.9 m. It is said that the foot of the devil was on the stone, and the stone served the rites of the old faith. The Žvirgždė river flows a little further north, and the Liepijai forest stands nearby. Such names were once called holy places. Count Šuazelis tried to break the stone and use it to build a barn, but he managed to take only the part with devil foot.
