Purviniškės I (called French tombs) and II burial mounds are located in Švenčionys district. There are 13 burial mounds in the 1st and 19 burials in the second. Burial mounds are from 6.5 m to 15 m in diameter, with a height of between 0.2 m and 1.9 m. In 1999, one burial mound was excavated, in which one burnt grave was discovered, and here was an iron burned awl in the burial. Burial mounds date back to to the end of the 1st thousand – beginning of the 2nd thousand.
