In 2016 near Kernave hillforts A fragment of the city of 13th-14th century Kernavė was restored. This is a scientific reconstruction of three medieval homesteads of the townspeople who lived near the mounds in the Pajauta Valley. In the restored craftsmen's homesteads you can see the household, work and war goods and living conditions of the medieval inhabitants of Kernavė. According to the material of archeological research, the homesteads of a blacksmith, a jeweler and a bone worker were restored, they were separated by a high vertical board fence. One homestead has one residential and several workshops and household buildings. The restored fragment of medieval Kernavė is an attempt to reconstruct the living environment of the early urban community. Visits are possible during museum opening hours.
