Hiking trail in Bitėnai (equipped with motifs from Lithuanian E. Grigolaitytė's book of memories "Paradise Road")
In order to attract visitors' attention an old pedestrian path between Jankai and Grigolaičiai has been replaced in the village of Bitėnai based on to the historical heritage of the regional park by the memories of Lėnė Grigolaitytė-Kondratavičienė (on the grounds of the book “Paradise Road” by German journalist Ulla Lachauer). It begins with an expressive walkway across the Bitė Stream at the Jankus Museum and runs down the old tree-covered village road towards the former Grigolaitis homestead. Next, the path leads down the Bitė River Valley to the village road, where we will go deeper into the village when we turn right, and when we turn left, you can go out to a larger village road leading to the Pemoynė Mansion or to the Bitėnai trees near the stork colony. The path is about 0.5 km long. It has 2 signboards about the Bitėnai 2 respite places, which offer a great view of the creek and the Little Lithuanian Picture Garden behind it. The directional arrow on the path leads to the nearby geomorphological formation of 4 hills - Kaskalnis, a horn “baptized” by geologists as a Triangle of Bitėnai.
