It is a geological and archaeological monument of national importance, also known as the Chapel Stone. The boulders are irregularly shaped and have an uneven hollow surface, 4.6 m long, 4.48 m wide, 2.43 m high and with a total circumference of 16.14 m. On the stone stands a wooden chapel. The stone is surrounded by legends. According to the people, the Great Stone of Stone has magical powers. During pagan times, the holy fire was burning on it. Believing in its miraculous power, people would go round the stone, kneeling in pain, asking for health, intercession and comfort. It is believed that prayers to this stone have helped a desperately ill woman to recover. The first chapel on the stone was built a hundred years ago.
