Objectives of establishment

The Tauragnas Landscape Reserve protects the picturesque valley of the deepest lake in Lithuania – Tauragnas, the unique valley of the seasonally drying Tauragna stream, the geomorphologically valuable Šeimatis moraine complex, the agrarian landscape structures of Taurapilis and Daunoriai typical of the Aukštaitija hills, one of the most famous archaeological complexes in the country, and other natural and cultural heritage values.
