The Stervas Strict Nature Reserve protects the Sõrv Lake and its marshy surroundings, the marshy forests of Tetervine with protected plant species (Red Cuckoo Cuckoo, White Cuckoo Cuckoo, Yellow Cuckoo Cuckoo, Green-eyed Suspension Cuckoo), as well as protected species of animal life (Siberian Warbler, Great Pigeon Guillemot, Tetervine Warbler, Siberian Warbler, Pine Siskin, Pine Siskin, Greybacked Gerbera and Black Tern).
