Objectives of the establishment

Barciai Landscape Reserve has been established to protect the lake terraces, the lakeshore dune belt, small morainic landforms, the slopes of the western shore of the Dusia Lake which are important from a botanical and entomological aspect, Prelomčiškė mound with the settlement, the ancient Zebrėnai settlement as well as other cultural values;
