Objectives of establishment

The Baluošas Landscape Reserve protects a complex of lake and forest landscapes with a particularly pronounced thermokarst relief typical of Aukštaitija, with the unique Baluošas Lake, ethnographically valuable lakeside villages, and rare hydrographic and biota elements.
