Walking along the Petroškės Forest Cognitive Trail (length – 3.5 km) you will get acquainted with the flora and fauna of the Ringėliškės Botanical and Zoological Reserve. The Petroškės forest is full of spruces, oaks and other trees typical of pine forests in southern Lithuania. Living conditions are favorable for various species of forest birds. Such forests significantly exceed the areas of pines alone in terms of feeding, hiding and nesting. A lot of rare birds are found here. There is an abundance of oxen birds typical of small birds. European pond turtle (Emys orbicularis) is an exceptional natural value of this area.
