Papėčiai - a village situated to the north of Metelys. Together with Buckūnai it is the longest village in the Park. It is 3 kilometres long. Structure of the village formed after the land reform carried out in the middle of XVI century. This structure of the scattered village with one street is characteristic only to Užnemunė (lands on the left bank of Nemunas river).
