The New and Old Arsenals, which belong to the National Museum of Lithuania, is located in the very heart of Vilnius, next to the Cathedral Basilica. The New Arsenal has permanent expositions that fully reflect the development of Lithuanian history since the creation of the GDL until the first half of the 20th century. It is possible to invite foreign visitors to this museum because it perfectly presents the formation of Lithuania as a state and its national heritage. In the Old Arsenal, visitors get acquainted with the history of Lithuania of ancient times, from the appearance of the first inhabitants on the territory of Lithuania in the 11th millennium BC to the formation of the State of Lithuania in the 13th century. Unique exhibits provide an opportunity to touch the origins of our nation's culture.
