Tamožinė pine, which grows in the Tamožinė forest, stands out for its impressive size. It is not so common that the diameter of a pine reaches as much as 1.55 m and the circumference—3.9 m. This pine is 22.6 m tall and branches into two trunks at a height of 1.3 m. It is estimated that Tamožinė pine should be around 120-140 years old. During the interwar period, when building the Kūlupėnai railway bridge, pine logs were forged on the foundations of the bridge. Only straight pine logs of the required length were used for the poles, so a relatively large number of pines of various shapes and impressive dimensions have remained in the Tamožinė forest, the most impressive of which is the Tamožinė forest pine.
