Šereiklaukis Second Mound (grave mound)
To the north of Šereiklaukis Hill an unexplored cemetery known as the Milžinkapis (Giant Grave) has been localized. The findings found on the hill site and at the foot show that the cemetery could have been located in the V-VII century. Beside it is a former settlement in I-XIII century, where farm holes, pillows, rough and ringed ceramics (decorated with a pattern of waves), and animal bones were found. The giant's slopes are steep, up to 6 m high, and it is very reminiscent of the mound, so archaeologists are also name as the Šereiklaukis II mound. This old maple-covered hill is well-seen, decorates the countryside, makes it exceptional. Legend tells that a very wealthy gentleman lived there. When he died, he also killed nine of his best servants. They buried all of them and much of the property together. He poured this mountain over the grave, and on top of it planted ten maples to commemorate each buried man.
