Salantan chestnut is the thickest chestnut currently known in Lithuania. It grows in the former park of Salantai manor (in the current park of Salantai town). It is believed that it has been growing here since the founding of the old manor park, in the 19th century. 1.53 m in diameter, 4.8 m in circumference, chestnut reaches a height of 28 m. The environment of Salantai chestnut has been tidied up.
