There is no outdoor furniture at the respite site by Lake Balsis, but one of the cleanest lakes in the park - Balsis - beckons you to stop off on the main route of the Šlavantas Landscape Reserve Ring. This lake is a Natura 2000 site and, to protect the plants and algae, it is forbidden to use self-propelled watercraft.
