The mound is located on the right bank of the Raudone stream. The site is triangular, 35 × 37 m in size, with a 40 m long, 3 m high, 12 m wide rampart on its south-western edge, behind which there is a 6 m wide, 1 m deep ditch. The slopes are steep, 18 m high. The burial site
There was a burial mound 0,7 km west of the mound, which was destroyed in the first half of the 20th century by farming activities. In 1974-75, an expedition of the Council for the Protection of Monuments of the Ministry of Culture (led by J. Markelevičius and E. Jovaiša), in an area of 250 m2, found 3 unburnt remains of the dead, the remains of an unburnt horse, and 2 campfires. The finds: jewellery (anthracite, scrolls, amber necklace), details of the horse's outfit (claws, mane scrolls), details of the man's outfit (buckles, remnants of a cap) are stored in the Vytautas the Great War Museum. The burial site dates back to the first millennium BC-13 AD.
