Pliksalė is located in the southern part of the lake, in Plateliai landscape reserve. The name of the island is interpreted in two ways: the island was bare because there are no trees growing here; another story - naked serfs were tied to trees on the island. The island is overgrown with old oaks, spruces, lindens, and various animals, mostly birds, find shelter. The area of the natural monument is 1.96 ha.
