Panemune Castle is the best-preserved Renaissance residential castle in Lithuania, which has preserved its authentic form almost unchanged until today. Visitors are invited on an unforgettable journey through time - from the Renaissance to the Baroque and Classicism.
The compositional centre of Panemune Park is the historic castle, which emerges from the thicket of greenery, standing on a hill and reflected in the ponds. The aesthetics of the site is highlighted by the system of five plastic ponds surrounding the castle, created by the damming of a stream by several embankments.
This picturesque valley is surrounded by green hills, a network of winding paths connects the park's scenic viewpoints and recreational areas, and it is an open-air park: the props link the inner spaces to the surrounding area. The stands are dominated by native vegetation with alien accents, with trees on the hills, rows of centuries-old lime trees and maples in the southern part of the park, poplars, willows and ornamental shrubs by the ponds. The oldest oak tree near the castle is a relic of the historic oak forest.
