Near the village of Nikronys, between the lakes of Sienis and Verniejus, the Verniejus Hydrographic Reserve, located in the Babrauninkai forest, has an interesting grey coloured mythological Nikronys stone that has a hollow at the top. It is a relic of glacial origin, with an age of about 14-16 thousand years, made up of minerals, dominated by quartz and outdoor sprat. The stone is a monument of pre-Christian religion with an equilateral cross-fire sign carved into the stone. At the top of the stone are the initials “MOPT” and the part of the coat of arms of the Odynecos, at the bottom stone-man feet. The hollow above the stone is almost always full of water, and in the folk tradition it is used to treat diseases, especially the eyes.
The Nikronys Stone - a monument of nature formerly the boundary sign of the Vladislava mansion - was worshipped as a sacred stone in the days of the old faiths.
