Minija (Mingė, Minė) is a village in Kintai eldership, on both sides of the lower part of Minija, between the Curonian Lagoon, Kniaupas and Krokai Lanka. Architectural monument of local significance: street (19 homesteads), sparsely built-up fishing village. There are 11 monumental buildings. The homesteads are located on the banks of the Minija, the yards (with kindergartens) face the river, docks for boats have been installed next to each yard, and the homesteads are connected with land by roads. There are also wooden buildings - their plans, constructions, external forms, volumes, decor are typical of the folk architecture of the Pomeranian region. The village of Minija is mentioned in the 17th century. The primary school operated as early as 1736.
