The Lithuanian Sea Museum-aquarium was opened at Hilltop in 1979. Here you can see Lithuania’s freshwater fish, fish from the Baltic Sea and some tropical types of fish, the invertebrates, impressive size sturgeons. Tropical sea aquariums are for hard and soft corals, other invertebrates and coral fish. Visitors can learn about the sea’s fauna on the first floor. Also, people can see different species of seals, North Sea lions and penguins. During the summers, you can see exclusive performances by the North Sea lions. Moreover, you can learn and see models of ships, archeological material, and some documentary material that talks about the history of maritime shipping. The Dolphinarium was opened in 1994. Here you can meet Black Sea bottlenose dolphins and Californian Sea lions.
