Liškiava mound (The stonework of the Witch) is located on the left bank of Nemunas, southwest of the town. It is a long, 100 x 50 m massive hill with south and south-east slopes of 30 m high descending into Nemunas with a spectacular opening of the landscape. The castle, which was started before the Battle of Žalgiris, remained unfinished. The tower, which remains unfinished in the southwestern part of the hill, is 11.5 m in diameter with walls 3.5 m thick and 3 m high. A 1 m wide hole was discovered in the inner wall of the tower into an underground that had already fallen. To the north of the remains of the tower 27 m away, a large hole remains for the next tower with square foundations.
