The Hilltop village cemetery in Smiltyne was used during the XIX century and the beginning of the XXth century. Furthermore, at the Hilltop cemetery you can find the graves of the Smiltyne and Hilltop residents. The first Lithuanian captain, L. Stulpinas (1871-1934), poet, publicist and Klaipeda’s region governor, J. Zilius-Jonila (1870-1932) are buried here too.
