The mound, which belongs to I thousand B.C. - I thousand A.D. has an oval square, elongated in the west - east direction, and sife of 53x29 m. The slopes are steep 9-20 m high. In 1958 and 1972 while exploring the mound site, stone axes, human bones, pot shards, daggers, coal, burnt clay were found. At the eastern foot of the mound are the remains of an ancient settlement occupying 0.2 ha. Kiemioniai mound is characterized by defensive fortifications, which, unfortunately, have been destroyed by plowing.
