In the past, this mountain was called Bloksberg. It was the most visited place in the resort of Juodkrante, because from the top of the dune, which was not yet forested at that time, wonderful views opened up in all directions - the lagoon, the sea, Nida and Klaipeda. Currently, the Juodkrante lighthouse stands on the hill.
