This majestic oak is a natural heritage object. Itgrows in a small village of Gudlaukis, near the Jūra River. The height of the oak is 16 m, the trunk circumference at chest height is 6.3 m. It is over 600 years old. The oak is in a bad condition: there is a huge grove in the trunk. It appeared when the tree began to decay from within, and then additionally it was set on fire by villainous people. It is said that the century-old oak was struck by lightning. You can hear the creaking and moaning of the oak but the tree does not give up.
