A Girionis park has been established on the picturesque terrace of the Nemunas valley carved by ravine and valley, on the lands of the former villages of Raguoliai and Pakalniškiai. The first plants were planted in the spring of 1960, and the author of the park project is Doc A. Tauras. The landscape-style park currently covers 108 hectares. It is one of the largest parks in Lithuania in terms of area and the richest in species composition, where more than 250 species and shapes of trees and shrubs can be found. The park is decorated with a number of monumental trees planted to commemorate important events and prominent foresters. The park - a state-protected object of natural heritage.
