Тhis is a 0.5 km long trail in the picturesque Varnakalnis forest of Krekenava forest district, by the Linkava stream. While traveling through it, visitors have the opportunity to get acquainted with the most common tree species in Lithuanian forests, forest groves, the main forest maintenance and protection works, the main concepts of forestry. Visitors have the opportunity to learn to measure the volume of trunk from a growing and cut off tree, to view measures for the protection of trees from forest animals, and wood samples. The information is presented at five stops: "The most common tree species in the country's forests", "Forest groves", "Forest restoration and plant protection measures", "Educational and sanitary felling", "Main forest felling and wood measurement". Visitors are greeted by the Girinis trail gate. In the Girinis house you can see photos of forest animals and birds, drawings of young forest visitors, creative works. You can view the Linkava stream valley and cliffs from the tower. Those who are not in a hurry can sit on the benches at the stops, relax in the valley by the fireplace.
