Bakainiai mound is one of the pearls of Krekenava Regional Park. This mound is from f the times of the battles with the Crusaders. The mound is surrounded on three sides by the Liaudė River. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the regional park. The mound complex consists of the castle hill, where the wooden castle, the fore-work and the lower ward with protective ramparts once stood.
