Antakalnis bunkers were built between 1924 and 1926. The bunker complex consists of five bunkers with ten entrances. One bunker is a double-decker bunker. The bunker consists of rectangular chambers and corridors built of concrete structures. The former territory of the complex is bounded by 32 reinforced concrete columns. Antakalnis bunkers are a rare architectural and engineering object. Antakalnis bunkers are a Natura 2000 site, home to one of the largest wintering grounds for bats in south-eastern Lithuania. Seven bat species are thought to live here
