Pottery has been cultivated in Viekšniai since ancient times. Near the Kalupis stream, there is a place where clay was once dug, and pots were made in nearby pottery workshops. Therefore, the outdoor exhibition features enlarged prototypes of Narva culture pots, symbolizing earth, fire, and water—the main components of ceramic art. The aim is to show visitors the journey of clay products from their beginnings to a wide variety of finished goods.
The prehistoric ceramics exhibition is like a classroom where educators can teach lessons on the art of ceramics, explaining the interaction of the three elements – earth, water, and fire.
